Spain legend Xabi Alonso to retire at end of season - social media's view
Xabi Alonso retired from international football in 2014 having won a World Cup and two European Championships with Spain.
Xabi Alonso -- one of the classiest and coolest midfielders of his generation -- announced on Thursday that this current season with Bayern Munich will be his last as a professional footballer.
At 35 years of age, it is no surprise that the former Real Sociedad, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Spain player will be calling it a day, but there was still plenty of love for him on social media after he broke the news in characteristically stylish fashion.
